Why should Tiger have all the fun?  You can have an affair, too!

As allegations of marital infidelity continue to haunt Tiger Woods, his numerous sponsors are starting to get nervous.  Ever since stories about adultery, mistresses, and affairs with porn stars began circulating following Tiger’s November 27 car crash, everyone has been waiting to see how Tiger’s sponsors were going to react.

Today, Gillette announced that they are taking a "time out" on Tiger’s advertising that will coincide with the "indefinite break" that Woods said he’s taking from the professional golf tour.  Woods announced the break in order to work on improving his marriage to his wife, Elin Nordegren.

Woods earns in excess of $100 million annually from commercial endorsements, and industry analysts have been expecting his sponsors to drop him as a spokesperson as a result of the scandal.

Most of Tiger’s deals are multiyear deals that sponsors cannot simply drop, but there is nothing that prevents them from simply discontinuing existing advertising and refusing to run any ads in the near future.

In an update to the continuing Tiger Woods scandal, Accenture announced that Woods is no longer "the right representative" for its advertising.  Industry analysts are continuing to pay attention to how Woods’ sponsors react to his alleged extramarital affairs.

You can have a guaranteed affair!
